Essential Go-Bag Contents

  • Water -- 1 gallon per person per day (3-day supply)
  • Food -- non-perishable, easy to prepare (3-day supply)
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • First aid kit
  • Medications -- 7-day supply of prescriptions
  • Multi-tool or Swiss Army knife
  • Phone charger (battery pack, car charger, or hand-crank)
  • Emergency radio (battery or hand-crank, NOAA capable)
  • Copies of important documents in waterproof bag (IDs, insurance, medical)
  • Cash in small bills
  • Change of clothes and sturdy shoes
  • Blanket or sleeping bag
  • Whistle (to signal for help)
  • Dust masks or N95 respirators
  • Local maps (don't rely on phone GPS)
  • Pen and notepad

WPV-Ready First Aid Kit

The WPV-Ready First Aid Kit was designed by emergency medical professionals with our community's specific risks in mind. It includes supplies for treating burns, cuts, sprains, and other injuries common in wildfire, earthquake, and storm emergencies.

What makes this kit special: every item comes with a video tutorial so you know exactly how and when to use it. You don't need medical training to provide effective first aid with this kit.

Video Tutorials Included

Each item in the kit is paired with a short video tutorial accessible by QR code. Watch them before an emergency so you are confident and prepared.
