Essential Go-Bag Contents
- Water -- 1 gallon per person per day (3-day supply)
- Food -- non-perishable, easy to prepare (3-day supply)
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- First aid kit
- Medications -- 7-day supply of prescriptions
- Multi-tool or Swiss Army knife
- Phone charger (battery pack, car charger, or hand-crank)
- Emergency radio (battery or hand-crank, NOAA capable)
- Copies of important documents in waterproof bag (IDs, insurance, medical)
- Cash in small bills
- Change of clothes and sturdy shoes
- Blanket or sleeping bag
- Whistle (to signal for help)
- Dust masks or N95 respirators
- Local maps (don't rely on phone GPS)
- Pen and notepad
