Your Community

When neighborhoods connect with fire districts, emergency teams, and non-profits, the whole community becomes more resilient.

Community-Level Preparedness

WPV-Ready works at the community level through partnerships with the Woodside Fire Protection District (WFPD), WPV-CERT, and Emergency Preparedness in Communities, Inc. (EPiC).

Together, we provide training, organize neighborhoods, coordinate with county emergency management, and ensure our communities have the resources they need.

Get Involved

There are many ways to participate at the community level:

  • - Attend a WPV-Ready Committee meeting (monthly, open to all)
  • - Join WPV-CERT for emergency response training
  • - Volunteer for Chipper Days or community events
  • - Help organize your neighborhood as a Ready Community
  • - Apply for Firewise USA recognition for your neighborhood
